BUTTERFLIES

T
this is the butterfly and flower necklace I am collaborating on  with a friend

butterfly wings
Today is Pepitas butterfly hop.She is a beader who lives in Secovlje, Slovenia, but maintains contact with the big world of beaders through the internet and she is now a friend to all of us.
I made a couple of things. One is a necklace with two butterflies on it but you can’t see them very well.  And in my list of disasters I’ve misplaced my butterfly bracelet I was working on.  But, lucily, I have the second butterfly for the necklace just sitting there, unattached.  And even better, I have a big butterfly I made some time ago. Now I’ve found my bracelet but I can’t find my big butterfly. Tommorow, during the blog hop I will try to make sense of everything.
Just remembered I took lots of pictures of the big butterfly. While I constantly see people making perfect beaded butterflies in my beading groups, I am not one of those people. My butterfly looks as if she's made of splotches of bright butterfly color Now he has a lot of little butterflies for company

I love to hear someone else misplaces things. I am a champ at that. I love the colors and beading on your last piece.

Hi Sheila,
Thank you for joining me in this blog hop!
What a pretty bracelet made of wings and love the colors you used for your big butterfly, I'm so curious about how you'll used it.

These are fantastic! They are bold and colorful and full of life! Coloring in the lines is overrated, so keep doing what you are doing :-)

Your big butterfly has such a wonderful impressionist, dreamy quality to it. 'Perfect' butterflies are over rated. Yes, developing technical skill can be valuable, but putting emotion into a piece is way more important! Your bracelet of what could be monarch wings is so summer like. Makes me long for hot weather. The collaborative necklace looks really interesting. How does that work? Do you sit together and work on it? Or do you each take turns? Collaborations are always such tricky things. Seems like your two styles complement each other well.

Sheila, your work is so creative. The butterfly wings in the bracelet look perfect to me and the big butterfly is colourful as butterflies should be.

You may not be satisfied with your butterflies but they look beautiful to me. I love the abstract splashes of colour and I am so impressed with seed beaders skill.I know for a fact that I will never work with them....those beautiful tiny beads defeat me everytime.Congratulations

Wonderful little work of art, Sheila! Since I don't work with those tiny beads I especially love to see what you can create :)
